Main Unit (Cable Tester)

5. התקנה

5.1 התקנת סוללה

The main unit requires 4x AA batteries, and the receiver requires 1x 9V battery.

1. Locate the battery compartments on the back of both the main unit and the receiver.

5.2 Initial Power On and Battery Check

After installing batteries, turn on the main unit using the Power Switch. To check the battery voltage, press and hold the 'V' button for 3 seconds. The LCD will display the current battery voltage.

6.1 Cable Testing (RJ45)

This function checks for short circuits, open circuits, and crossover connections in network cables.

1. Connect one end of the RJ45 network cable to the "RJ45 Cable Jack" on the main unit.
2. Connect the other end of the RJ45 network cable to the "RJ45 Cable Jack" on the receiver.
3. Turn on both the main unit and the receiver.
4. On the main unit, select the desired test speed (SLOW/FAST) and press the "TEST" button.
5. Observe the LCD display on the main unit and the indicator lights on the receiver to identify any wiring faults.

6.2 בדיקת POE

The tester can identify standard and non-standard POE devices, and measure POE voltage, current polarity, and power mode.

1. Connect the POE cable to the "POE Port" on the main unit.

6.3 Cable Tracing (Wire Tracking)

5. Move the tracing sensor of the receiver along the cable bundle. The receiver will emit an audible tone, which will be strongest when near the target cable.
